Integrated Active and Passive Acoustic System for Environmental Monitoring (ISEM)

The project team will develop a novel environmental monitoring system that integrates data analysis software and active and passive acoustic sensors to provide real-time tracking of fish and marine mammals in high energy sites.
Seasonal Erodibility of Sediment in the Upper Bay of Fundy

This project developed methods for studying sedimentation to the macro-tidal flats of the upper Bay of Fundy. The researchers looked at seasonal variation in the erodibility of sediments in tidal creeks and flats using a Gust Erosion Chamber and repeated grain size surveys.
Mi’kmaq Ecological Knowledge Study (Phase 2)

A second Mi’kmaq Ecological Knowledge Study was carried out prior to potential marine renewable energy development in the Brier and Long islands area of the Bay of Fundy, including Grand Passage and Petite Passage.
