Morocco-Nova Scotia Conjugate Margin Program Phase 1

There is an extensive shared geological history between Morocco and Nova Scotia, which can be examined to improve the understanding of offshore petroleum systems and hydrocarbon resource potential in both Nova Scotia and Morocco.  OERA and NSDEM are currently working on a collaborative series of projects with the Moroccan National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) to understand the petroleum systems of the conjugate margin pair between Nova Scotia and Morocco. Phase 1 of this work (2018) uses seismic reconstruction and petroleum systems modeling to assess the early post rift while Phase 2 (2019) will provide a comprehensive evaluation of the syn rift on both sides of the margin.
