Energy Storage Policy and Practices

OERA is requesting a study to examine grid-scale energy storage policy and practices both internationally and locally. The work will include a review of policy and practices in other jurisdictions, an overview of the province’s current legislation, and targeted discussions with key stakeholders.  The study will help provincial policymakers and other regulators evaluate options for possible implementation in Nova Scotia.  This work is sponsored by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (formerly called the Department of Energy and Mines).

The importance of ESG reporting for Nova Scotia’s energy sector supply chain

Demonstrating commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles and reporting has become an integral part of partner selection and investment decision making processes in many industries and jurisdictions. While many large organizations invest in formal ESG programs and reporting, the concepts may still be in the early adoption stage with smaller organizations in the supply chain.
